Daily Shenanigans, 06/03/2014: A new challenge?

I managed to be fairly productive today, particularly with reading (which I've been severely neglecting over the last week or so). I finished 'Wolves' by Simon Ings and wrote the review for it as soon as I had done so! It was my first Goodreads giveaway win and wasn't a bad book, though I did have a few niggles with it. Read the review for my thoughts on that!

My next planned reads are 'The Hotel Fakir' by Adam Smolka and 'The Snow Child' by Eowyn Ivey. I realise that 'The Hotel Fakir' isn't on my original 'Planned March Reads' post, but I figured as it was another giveaway win (that I ought to review ASAP) and it's a mere 70 pages or so long, I may as well quickly read it now. I'm already almost halfway through it, I may even get it finished tonight before sleeping! 'The Snow Child' is a planned read that I have been thoroughly looking forward to. I had been hoping to read Holly Black's 'Tithe' first, but that still hasn't arrived and so this one was next on the list! I can't wait to get into it, if I take the train tomorrow I'll probably start it then!

The rest of my day was filled with Uni work, so wasn't overly interesting to be honest. I managed to be pretty productive (which I'm glad about). Something I did do though was take a look at a new challenge/meme that I would like to get involved in. It's pretty simple and doesn't involve an awful lot so I don't thing it would be too much for me too handle:

This weekly meme is hosted by Novel Heartbeat. The basic premise is that every Thursday a new topic is posted, and I will write my thoughts/experiences on it, so that you guys get to know a bit more about me rather than just the books I blog about. It looks like a relaxed and fun way of sharing a bit more about myself! Next week's topic is 'What's Your Favourite Place?' I can't wait to read other posts on the subject as well as contribute my own thoughts!

Tomorrow I have to go to Uni (literally just for a twenty minute tutorial, which is so annoying) but then I'm seeing Mat! I can't wait, it's only been a week but it always feels like so much longer.
