Daily Shenanigans, 07/05/2014: A light at the end of the tunnel?

Okay, so I mentioned yesterday that I have a lot of work to do! That still sort of stands, but after today I am proud to announce I have a lot less to do! Thank goodness! I went into Uni this morning and just really concentrated on things that desperately needed doing, (as well as going to a tutorial to help me with my essay). I'm particularly proud of myself because thanks to a little help from a friend of mine, I got a lot of work done on my Multimedia programming! Hooray! I have an essay filled day on my hands tomorrow but then after that the only thing left to worry about is my Multimedia performance! The date has had to be changed again so that is now being performed on the 21st May (not too far away). I'm so excited but also really aware that I still have plenty to do so I'm still not far through reading 'Cuckoo Song'. No ARC review for that one I'm afraid!

Daily Shenanigans, 06/05/2014: Time to prioritise.

This is going to be a short post because I'm still doing work on this essay. An essay that I have been working pretty much all day on. Of course before I started facing the beast, I made sure my 'Top Ten Tuesday' went up all right and was really happy about this week's topic. So much fun to do! Since then it's just been a mix of eating, listening to music and typing. Oh and plenty of staring at a screen blankly too. Hopefully I can have more luck over the next few days, I really want to feel like I've done a lot of work by this weekend. I have kept away from reading today, Uni really needs to be the priority right now (as much as it pains me to say it because I enjoy this a whole lot more). I can't get much more done feeling this tired so I'm going to crack on with a bit more tomorrow morning before my tutorial and see what my tutor has to say on my efforts. I'm in Uni all day tomorrow too so there won't be much time for me to do anything other than work! Forgive me for this slight hiatus over the next couple of weeks!

Daily Shenanigans, 21/03/2014: Coursework submitted, Easter break begins!

Finally! My actual time off that I have been dreaming about all week has arrived. I cannot express how happy I am right now to see this moment. To not have to, at least for a little bit, worry too much about stressful shows I have to do things for or coursework that needs to be submitted! I managed to meet my coursework deadline today (just) and I'm pretty happy with what ended up being submitted so now it's just a waiting game!

After finishing my coursework, which actually took up most of my day, I went to pick Mat up from the station. We spent the evening at his, playing this new game called 2048 which he has me absolutely addicted to. Seriously look it up (unless you actually want to live your life, in which case avoid it at all costs)! We also played a bit of Pokemon (I bet you expected that) and Simpsons: Tapped Out which is another one that I thoroughly recommend if that's what floats your boat. Unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy my time at Mat's quite as much as I wanted to. Why? Because I am coming down with a cold. I'm hoping I'm just run down and it will be gone tomorrow, but I'll have to see on that front.

Speaking of tomorrow: if I'm up to it (i.e. not dying) we're going to see 'A Long Way Down' at the cinema! Hoorah! I have been looking forward to this film's release ever since I saw the trailer. I would also be really interested to read the book at some point. It looks really funny, in a dark kind of way and they are always good to watch in my eyes. I'll see if it lives up to expectations!

Daily Shenanigans, 20/03/2014: Phew!

Oh my goodness, tonight went so well! I woke up at quarter to six this morning, so that I could drive in for eight. While driving, I listened to Jeff Wayne's 'War Of The Worlds' (a musical adaption for those that don't know, I adore it) and it calmed me down a bit. I have been worrying all week about this assignment and as it turns out, I had nothing to worry about after all. The lighting design for the show I'm being marked on was exactly how I imagined it would be, and I worked painstakingly throughout my 14 hour (yes, really) day to get i perfect. The show went really well and my Tutor seemed quite impressed so I'll have to wait and see!

I still have some work to do tomorrow on my Multimedia Portfolio, but then that's it for a little while! Thank goodness too because I  think the stress was sure to make me implode sooner or later. I am very tired this evening so  I'll make this post quite short again. If I get my coursework done well, I'll be able to be more productive blog-wise and have more to talk about tomorrow! Wish me luck!

Before I go, I'll just say: 35 followers on Bloglovin'? 18 on Google +? Wow! Thanks guys!

Daily Shenanigans, 19/03/2014: Let the end of this week come quickly!

Well readers, I failed. I wanted to completely finish my coursework today, so that after my stressful day tomorrow (14 hours at Uni supporting the shows with lights and sound, ugh!) I could just relax and settle into my frankly well deserved Easter break. But no. Instead, I am going to have to spend the rest of Friday finishing off this horrible portfolio! I have been so focused on trying to get this finished today that I haven't even had time to worry about tomorrow's looming deadline! I really hope it goes well, I'm being assessed on it, but I would hate to get anything wrong for the shows that I'm Tech support for!

I didn't do an awful lot else today. The only thing blog-wise I managed to do was write tomorrow's 'Life Of A Blogger' post (as I won't be able to do it then) and read a few Top Ten Tuesday's/reply to some comments. That's another thing I'm looking forward to. Being able to work on my blog a lot more. I'm still really tired, I actually fell asleep a bit this afternoon, and woke up cursing because that was a whole half hour of essay writing wasted. Deary me! I really can't wait for Uni to just be over!
